Course Description

This self-paced course is designed for instructional designers, educators, content creators, and learning and development professionals who want to create more accessible digital content. Using the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG)  as your framework, you'll identify and remove common accessibility barriers while developing practical skills you can immediately apply to your own work. Through  demonstrations, and hands-on activities, you'll explore techniques for creating online learning experiences. Whether you're new to digital accessibility or looking to strengthen your existing knowledge, this course provides practical guidance for creating more inclusive digital experiences for everyone.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

1. Apply the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 to design, evaluate, and improve digital content for accessibility.
2. Use accessibility evaluation tools and remediation techniques to identify and address common accessibility issues.
3. Create accessible digital content by applying best practices for headings, hyperlinks, color contrast, images, multimedia, tables, forms, and document structure.
4. Conduct an accessibility audit or remediation project using your own content to demonstrate your understanding of accessibility principles.
